|  | Vijay Chandru (PhD, MIT 1982) is an academic entrepreneur. A founder of Strand Life Sciences, a leading in silico life sciences company, he currently serves as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the company. Strand specializes in applying decision sciences and systems modeling to discovery research in the life sciences. His work at Strand has earned him several awards and honours including Technology Pioneer of the World Economic Forum and the Biospectrum (India) “Biotech Entrepreneur of the Year” award both in 2007. Vijay is also a founder of the Association of Biotech led Enterprises (ABLE) and is the current President of the Association, A Fellow of the Indian Academy of Sciences and an Honorary Professor of the National Institute of Advanced Studies. |
